SkyShark non-tapered wrapped carbon tubes are made to be very strong with a thicker wall than other wrapped tubes allowing you to cut and ferrule anywhere on the tube.

Here are some recent developments in Skyshark products: The P90 thru P400 SkyShark tubes are being upgraded to the X series, for example, the new P2X. These new wrapped carbon tubes are 15-20% stiffer due to the use of a higher modulus carbon, are about .5 gram heavier and exhibit a woven diamond pattern. --Goodwinds has made a special purchase of the discontinued P400 tubes. These are painted in a camo scheme and otherwise have the same specs as the original P400 which is out of production.

--The P450 tubes are a new temporary offering by Goodwinds and will have limited availability going forward. At 23.8 grams, these tubes are stronger & stiffer than the similar but superceded P400, being .306" outside diameter versus the P400's .300" OD. Surface is sanded lightly with an underlying wrapped appearance that is a slightly lighter gray than the superceded P400 or similar tube. These should be a great performer for discriminating users.

Our Prospar offerings represent two different blends of carbon & fiberglass resulting in a economical alternative to pure carbon epoxy tubes. These tubes are somewhat rare, are out of production and are offered at nicely reduced prices.

The PS-16-306 Prospar tube, now price-reduced, is sized similarly to the E-40 fiberglass tube but over twice as stiff due to its use of carbon & E-glass fibers in the axial planes. The Prospar PS-15-278 tubes are the size of a C-30 fiberglass tube but weigh almost 2 grams less and have about half the deflection of the C-30. The Prospar PS-19-352 tube is the size as a K-75 fiberglass tube but weighs about a gram less and is 40% stiffer.

Using a composite hybrid of carbon & S-2 glass in both axial and circumferential orientation, the CP-16-309 Prospar Comp tube is close to the same size but dramatically stiffer than either the E-40 fiberglass or the PS-16-306 carbon/glass tubes and is on a par with other modern wrapped carbon tubes for stiffness yet it weighs .5 gram less than the E-40 & 1 gram less than the PS-16-306.
